You are more than welcome to come and visit our factory and showroom in Chipping Norton NSW and view our Wetseat Neoprene, Canvas & Denim Seat Covers. We have a few demo seats on display which you can sit on and get a feel for the materials and compare for yourself!

Yes, however it is by appointment only and only on Saturday mornings unless otherwise negotiated. Fitting time slots are generally from 6-7am, 7-8am and 8-9am.

If you are in Sydney and require fitting, in the checkout screen, please select Pick Up At Store option and leave a note in the comments. We will contact you when the covers are ready and book an appointment.

Yes, our covers are all generally designed to be an easy to fit accessory. As they are designed to be a snug fit, they can be tricky if you have never fitted seat covers before. Please feel free to contact us about your specific vehicle and we can advise you what’s involved.

We also have some fitting instructions available that we can send if requested. Please use the blue Help(?) icon on the bottom right of our website to send us an enquiry and we will provide a downloadable instruction if we have one that suits your vehicle. Whilst we have some instructions for the most popular makes and models (Ranger, Hilux, Landcruiser, Amarok, Triton etc), we do not have an instruction for every vehicle out there. Due to the significant overheads (time/cost) associated with producing installation instructions, not all vehicles will have instructions available to be sent. In this case, we do have some generic instructions that we can provide.

Please note that our resellers are all generally equipped to offer a fitting service if you’d prefer to leave it to professional installers. A store specific fee will apply for fitment based on the time taken to fit the covers – please discuss this with your local reseller. Yes, we love PO Box addresses as they are a very secure way to receive your covers without you needing to be home to receive the goods, plus we primarily ship via Australia Post.

Once you have placed your order you will receive a confirmation email with reference number (usually your invoice number) for all future reference.

Then, once your order has been dispatched you will receive an Australia Post tracking number/notification once your order reaches the Processing & Dispatch stage of the ordering process. Just copy the number and click the link - it will take you to the relevant freight providers website where it'll display all up-to-date information.

We utilise the services of Australia Post. Upon dispatch of your order, you will receive an email from Australia Post which will have your tracking number and a link to track your order.

We'll do our best to pack all of your items in one parcel, although sometimes we're unable to do that - which is based on the size of the items you've purchased or part of the order being out of stock. If either of these scenarios occur we will contact you to discuss. If multiple packages are to be sent you will receive tracking information for all components of the order.

Yes, by using our specialised manufacturing techniques and utilising advance airbag seam technology, we can manufacture a seat cover that allows the side seat airbag to fully deploy unhindered by the seat cover in the event of a side impact. Alternatively where applicable they are designed to fit around the plastic airbag casing in some vehicles such as the Mitsubishi MN Triton.

We utilise the services of APV Engineering & Testing Services in Victoria to determine airbag deployment times under 3 conditions; ambient temperature, as well as cold & hot extreme temperatures. This is to ensure the seat covers are still airbag compatible at any time and any place within our harsh Australian climate!

Special note: Inland Australia Pty. Ltd., manufacturer of The Wetseat and leading OE Seat Covers, pioneered Side Seat Airbag Compatible Seat Covers back in 1999 during development of the genuine accessory seat cover for the Toyota Avalon!

It is with this expertise of over 24 years producing airbag compatible seat covers and knowledge of how seat airbags deploy that we are confident in every seat cover we make.

At The Wetseat we believe the safety of you and your passengers is paramount, that’s why we incorporate safety into the design of our neoprene seat covers.

Whilst our covers are made from a ‘Wetsuit like’ material (neoprene), they are not exactly the same.

The neoprene we use in the production of the legendary Wetseat, is a special blend of neoprene made specific to the automotive industry, based on over 15 years of testing and development. The Wetseat contains a unique ‘blend’ of rubber backing which provides the covers with a ‘highly water resistant’ property, this is unique to our covers and makes the material distinctively different to a Wetsuit and our competitors.

Caring for your Wetseat Canvas & Denim Seat Covers:

- HAND WASH ONLY (Seperate from other items)
- Clean by hand with Cold Water & Soft Brush
- Do not use bleaches or chemicals such as pool chlorine
- Line Dry in Shade, Do NOT Dry Clean

 

Caring for your Wetseat Neoprene Seat Covers:

For light marks and surface dirt, a damp cloth, chamois or wet wipes will generally do the job of cleaning them.
For heavier or more stubborn marks and stains, you can machine wash your Wetseat Neoprene covers - please see below instructions for wash settings;

 

- Remove any loose dust, dirt, sand, etc by giving the covers a wipe with a damp cloth

- Connect any loose hook & loop tapes where possible to eliminate any tangling during washing

- Set to COLD wash

- Gentle cycle

- Use normal wash powder/liquid


For cleaning of the covers when subjected to salt water, sand or mud, try hosing down your Wetseat Neoprene covers, then hang on the clothes line for 1 hour (ambient temp 20 degrees).

In general no. As a rule of thumb, if you don’t get hot in your current cloth seats then it is unlikely you will feel any difference with the Wetseat covers fitted. Conversely, if you get hot in your current cloth seats then you will likely get just as hot in the Wetseat covers. If left in the sun in a hot car for a period of time they will be initially warm to sit in, but by no means ‘burning hot’ like say a vinyl or leather seats. The covers will acclimatise quickly once the air conditioning is used or window opened.

Another great way to keep your seat covers cool on a hot day is to use a windscreen sun visor. A simple yet effective tip to help keep the interior of the car cool on a hot day.

All front Wetseat covers are sold in pairs, or as complete sets in the case where you may have a 3 seat front such as a bucket & ¾ bench seat. The only exception to this rule is for aftermarket seats such as Recaro & Stratos, where single seats may be purchased.

All other rows such as 2nd or 3rd row covers (sold as a set) come complete with everything required including all headrest covers, armrest covers, etc.

We don’t recommend cleaning your seats with products immediately before installing your seat covers.

If you are looking at applying any cleaning products onto the seats before installing your Wetseat covers, please leave up to a week to dry completely before installing the Wetseats. Any residual moisture left inside after the seat covers are fitted may cause damage to your seats. This is particularly important on leather seats.

Yes, we outsource all embroidery and must be done prior to sewing your seat covers. An additional cost will apply. Please contact us to discuss your needs.

Please note we cannot embroider a logo that is trademarked, such as a vehicle company logo or the vehicle name.

Yes, in general we have a black or grey colour available across all 3 of our materials, i.e. Neoprene, Canvas & Denim.

We also have various stitching colours available for our Neoprene Wetseats.

Our Canvas & Denim will have some small amount of coloured top stitch as well.

The Wetseat Neoprene comes in a black or mid grey coloured fabric with 6 choices of top stitching. This includes Black, Blue, Charcoal, Orange, Red or White.
 

 

The Wetseat Canvas comes in a black or mid grey coloured fabric. The black canvas will have black coloured stitching, the grey canvas will have white coloured stitching.

 

The Wetseat Denim comes in a black or dark grey coloured fabric. The black denim will have black coloured stitching, the grey denim will have charcoal coloured stitching.

If your seats have a heating function, the seat covers will still allow the heating to work and transfer from the seat to the seat cover. This may take a little longer to heat up than a seat with a seat cover.

If your seats have a cooling function, you may not feel the effects of the cooling completely. As the seat covers are not perforated, it does not allow the cooling to pass through the seat cover. However, seat covers will reduce in temperature slightly.

No, our neoprene seat covers are non static.

No, our neoprene rubber is latex free.

All our tailor-made seat covers are specifically designed to allow 100% function or these additional features.

Simply search our website for the corresponding covers to suit your vehicle. Most popular makes an models are in stock and ready to go, however if the colour combination or vehicle specific covers aren't pre-made simply order from our Made to Order range and we will get the made ASAP for you.

Different materials fit for different purposes.

Some people may have kids that like to walk all over the seats with their muddy shoes, or spill their food & drinks often. Others may use their vehicles as the weekend getaway truck, taking it to the beach or 4wding in the mud. Then there are plenty of others that use their vehicle as their daily work horse, carrying tools and other equipment around. Whatever the reason, we have a seat cover that suits you for your purpose.

Yes, you can choose to pick up your online order at our Chipping Norton head office, however if selecting this option please wait for email or phone confirmation that the order is ready for pickup. Just select the Pickup option at checkout and bring along your ID when it's time to collect your order.

This will depend on a number of factors:

Please be aware that pre-made orders generally leave our warehouse within one working day, and made to order items start to be prepared within a week. The time taken to contact us about your order is therefore time critical.

If you wish to change or cancel your order it is advisable to call us on (02) 9724 9499 soon after placing your order to ensure we can make any changes prior to dispatch. Please DO NOT email your request as based on the volume of email enquires we receive it is unlikely to seen in time to address your request.

Whilst we do try to keep some colour combinations of popular utes & wagons off the shelf, we still do have a lot of made to order items that do take time to manufacture.

All products will display the ETD once you have selected your material and colour option.

If for any reason an item is out of stock we'll notify you as soon as possible either by phone or email. Our goal is to never run out of stock (as we track inventory very carefully), but unfortunately it can sometimes happen and can take time for the item to come back into stock. Therefore we will advise the likely delivery timeframe when we speak or email.

If, at any time, you'd like to cancel your order (due to the wait time not being acceptable to you) - we'll do so immediately and a full refund will be processed ASAP.
